trying to like my mom’s new “boyfriend”

i am deeply unimpressed with his attempts at nicey-nice. i know you have a daughter, but i am nearly 19! i do not like to be bribed with milkshakes and food. bribe me with shit i actually need.

my brother was easy; all you had to bring in was a huge ass steak.

i, however, do not eat steak and i do not wish to be bribed unless you are willing to pay my college tuition. then i will be at the wedding.
